The name Electric Barbarella says a lot if you are a fan of the 44 year-old super group, Duran Duran. The Fab Five named their band after the antagonist in the 1968 sci-fi flick “Barbarella”, starring Jane Fonda. 17 years later, Duran Duran created a song about a robotic girl whose programming was not perfect, but everything else was. This robot was our inspiration behind the name Electric Barbarella. Louisville’s well-known “Synth Scientist”, A.K.A. The Doctor, recreates a multitude of aural textures with the precise timing of the great Nick Rhodes, with meticulous attention to every oscillator and every ADSR envelope. (IYKYK) the rest of the rhythm section performs with undeniable accuracy, even down to their instruments. Bringing the vocals, you will hear not one, but two Simon LeBon impersonators.
